Amantecatl Artist
in Residency

Amantecatl means Artisan in Nahuatl

The Alisal Center for the Fine Arts has created this program to provide professional development to local emerging artists in the Salinas area. The selected artist will collaborate with ACFA on a minimum of five projects over the course of six months. During this time the collaboration will produce several events, fundraisers, and conclude with a solo exhibition for the artist hosted by ACFA. This program seeks to provide real-world experience, professional opportunities, and to build a professional network for the artist in the Salinas area, and further.

The Amantecatl Artist in Residency program is available to local emerging artists who have fewer than 10 years of professional experience.
